Abdul Gafoor Mosque built-in 1859 is situated in Little India, Singapore. The mosque was repaired in 190- to replace smaller wooden Dunlop Street Mosque. The religious place served Kampon Kapor region which is the largest populated placed immigrants from Tamil Muslim and Bawaenese.

About Abdul Gafoor Mosque

The mosque is named after the Chief Clerk at the law firm Khory & Brydges – Shaik Abdul Gafoor. He was appointed as two trustees of the Dunlop Street Mosque Wakaf. Shaik Abdul Gafoor raised funds to built the new mosque through renting out shophouses and sheds in mosque neighbourhood. After his death, the mosque was renamed on his name.
