What is NRB? National Resource Conservation Bureaus (NRB)

The National Resource Conservation Bureaus (NRB) of various states in India are tasked with the responsibility of maintaining a status of the environmental condition of the country. The NRBS of these states work with all these objectives and are also mandated to maintain the integrity of the environment. One such state, which works well with the environment is Gujarat. It has the most state NRBS which has been run for over a period of time. Apart, from Gujarat, the other states that work well with the environment are Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Haryana, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Delhi, Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. These NRBS are provided with the required environment reports as per the NRC bill and are able to take action accordingly. They are also authorized to collect the data pertaining to the waste management.
